Chair Strength collects minimal information to provide and improve our service:
- Usage Data: Exercise completion, workout progress, and app interaction data stored locally on your device
- Subscription Information: Purchase and subscription status managed through Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or our Stripe-powered web checkout via RevenueCat
- Device Information: Basic device type and operating system for compatibility purposes
- Onboarding Preferences: Age group, gender, and fitness goals you select during setup, stored locally on your device
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the App functionality
- Track your workout progress locally on your device
- Process subscriptions through Apple, Google, and Stripe-backed web billing providers
- Improve and optimize the App experience
- Select appropriate exercise video variants based on your preferences
3. Data Storage
All personal workout data, fitness preferences, and progress is stored locally on your device or browser. We also collect limited operational analytics and subscription events to understand feature usage, app performance, and subscription state across platforms. We do not store your workout history in a central profile database.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store (iOS) — subscription processing and payment
- Google Play Store (Android) — subscription processing and payment
- RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase validation across mobile stores and web billing
- Stripe — payment processing for web subscriptions
RevenueCat receives purchase data and app user identifiers to manage your subscription status. Stripe receives payment and billing information required to complete web purchases. We may also send product analytics events such as onboarding completion, paywall views, workout starts/completions, screen views, app version, and platform metadata to our admin backend. These services do not receive your full workout history or locally stored progress data. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information. All data is stored locally on your device using the operating system's built-in storage mechanisms. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You can view all your data directly in the app (Settings)
- Deletion: Use "Reset All Progress" in Settings to delete local data. To request deletion of analytics or RevenueCat subscription records, contact us at the email below
- Portability: Your data is stored locally and is accessible on your device
- Correction: You can update your preferences in Settings at any time
For EU/EEA residents (GDPR) and California residents (CCPA): you may exercise these rights by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and on this page. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
